It wasn't me, no-one saw me do it, you can't prove a thing. Anyway, how was I supposed to know she was his mother?

I remember T in the Park 2004, with The Darkness headlining due to a last minute cancellation. Was an experience I'll never forget because it was my first Darkness performance, and my first festival. I don't really think at 11 I could appreciate it quite as much as I would now! And the infamous banner...it certainly wasn't popular with everyone behind us, but hey, it made TV.

I remember being an embarassingly obsessive Dan-fan, I look back and just cringe. Eep.

I remember being in London for the day and zooming around Camden and going for a quick coffee with Erin (congratulations on the baby!)

The drama with some over-zealous fans and family due to a massive (;)) misunderstanding.

I'm sure there's so much more, but my memory is rather hazy and it felt like an awfully long time ago I was 11/12 (which it kind of is, I guess). Hopefully more people will post and jog my memory!

Haha I remember some of that too Anya, and being behind your banner at T in the Park, looking back it was quite funny but I remember at the time thinking "who is that person with the massive banner trying to block my view of Dan?" LOL

*edit* Also my 21st Birthday which fell on the day of the Glasgow OWT tour gig, and my friends/sister being quite scared with me shouting "Its Anya! Its thedarkone" across the room. also trying to find some damn ping pong balls in Glasgow.... also remember meeting Alexa from Finland who brought some awesome lemon Bacardi which we then drank out of teacups in the hotel room. ahh back in t'day

I don't remember it. However The Darkness Sponge is awesome! I love it!

It could be of some help, whenever anyone would act like Justin, when he gets out of the bath in I Believe In a Thing Called Love

...in this regard another awesome piece of merchandise would be a bathrobe :D

Had a random flashback last night to the short lived London Rock Daily quiz night that we had a team for. Frankie was there, and we did quite well, although I learnt the lesson to always listen to Dazza when it comes to the intros round. Man knows his stuff

I remember when the video for I Believe In A Thing Called Love first came out. I was about 7 or 8 years old. They played it on TV all the time. My parents would always have MTV or VH1 on in the morning to watch videos while they were getting ready for work and I was getting ready for school. I remember when I first saw it I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I always got excited when they played that video. But soon enough it got forgotten about and they didn't play it anymore.

Now here's the weird part....

Years later I can hear this guitar riff playing in my head and I start to remember some of the lyrics but I have no idea what the song is. I also start to remember images from the video. The space ship, purple, and a guy in white with long pinkish hair....

I finally got frustrated enough and decided to ask my dad what the song was. After I described what I remembered from the video my dad he said:

"Oh, that song....I remember that. The band that sings that is called The Darkness"

After that I googled The Darkness and read the Wikipedia page and listened to all their music and was instantly hooked.

That's basically the story of how they became my favorite band.

Are we still able to access the suddenlaunch 'Darkives'? Or has that been disabled?

Didn't seem to like me when I last tried, but it would be fab to sift through some of the old stuff. So many memories...

I'll always remember being a young 'un at boarding school so missed out on a lot of gig-related funtimes, but living vicariously through everyone via the suddenlaunch board. And of course, I still got to 'meet' great friends through there :D
