I remember after being at Knebworth watching TD Ash nd Robbie for the day....... sleeping in the car cos i was well shattered and the man whose house i was outside bought me a cup of tea in the morning and let me use his loo......... nicest random thing to ever happen to me EVER!!!

I remember hiding behind a hedge after TD's headline set at Reading 2004. Both the sister and I were a bit muddy, so we stripped out of our jeans before getting in the car.

Not noticing the collection of very quiet policemen who were lurking waiting to see if the going-home crowd caused any trouble

Luckily, earlier that week we'd come back from 3 weeks in Majorca, so we didn't have many white bits

I was re reading my blog about all things Darkness yesterday and it made me remember lots of little things...

Like meeting the Darklings for the first time prior to the MTV2 birthday gig n being very shy:Dazza showed me pictures of his kitten and I talked to Nikita about shoes and it broke the ice... and I remember Muppet and Lady Loony dragging me hastily out of the ladies when TD arrived on stage, so I wouldn't miss a moment of my first Darkness experience.

And the loveliness of the Astoria Homecoming, a perfect night in loads of ways...does anyone else remember trying to jump up and catch the leaves that fell during LIOAF?

And singing Time of Our Lives very loudly after the Wembley gig...

etc

Seeing TD at rockingham and dragging a oil drum over so my daughter could see and a security bloke saying you can't do that when I said why he had no answer(knob)

Seeing TD at nec first time sitting on seats stage left I said to wife next time we're standing down there on floor we did and we could hardly walk after it.

Hot leg at p'boro and meeting some of you lot and justin

Not getting into hotleg gig at barfly brum cause daughter was 17 but getting in a couple of weeks later at same place for stonegods gig

Seeing hotleg support extreme with oldest son he was 30 then and getting us both a t-shirt and the bloke thought we were gay :)

Moonfest-long day but worth it:)

I had completely forgotten 'Leg supported Extreme. That just made me recount and discover I had seen them almost twice as many times as I thought I had.

See, I told you I don't remember hardly any of it.

I remember at Liverpool Uni gig (the rescheduled one) that my mate had (earlier in the day) met a Roadie for one of the support acts. He gave him a call later on as we were queueing and the guy came out and took us back in with him. We got called by the security woman but "didn't hear her" and we ended up by the bar in the main hall, just in time to see TD rehearsing Christmas Time...
when Justin got off the stage to go through the backstage doors, he gave us a look (as if to say "why are you here")...about ten seconds later a security guy came along and kicked us out!
Good fun. Still ended up getting at the front too!

Oh I do remember one. You've just reminded me. The original Liverpool gig that had to be called off on the night. I remember the old board going into meltdown after that one.

Whats that underground rock club in Soho called? I remember dancing pretty much all night in various different venues with various different people. And a road trip to Great Yarmouth. That was weird.

And thwacking...lots of thwacking...

Decadence @ Gossips.

The Yarmouth gig was fun. I wouldn't mind another homecoming.

Brilliantly I've just made the same mistake I did seven years ago and wrongly assumed Friz was female.

Indeed, there were a lot of unhappy people, me included, but still, Justin got better and gave us a hell of show the second time (my second fave gig ever behind KISS last year) and PLUS the second gig had Young Heart Attack as support and they were awesome!
Here's a pretty decent review of the gig that I just found:

...all I remember is not being able to go to any of this because I lived on Teesside and was too young!

That and a certain Middlesbrough Music Live show in 2003... that was the first time I saw 'em - and I could only remember a) loving it because there was a bloke wearing a Thin Lizzy t-shirt which briefly annoyed me because he'd beaten me to it and b) them being outrageously good for a band in Middlesbrough.

I remember we made plans to National Express as far as like Wakefield or something and get a lift with Karl and Wayne for the PTL launch party but I had exams!

I remember chalk hearts meling on a playground wall.

I remember being well and truly took under everyone's wing - I remember scenes of extraordinary generosity and faith which I am thankful for to this day.

I remember the "I Believe In A Thing Called ROCK" compilation CD me and Miguelmonkeyman attempted to produce (let down by my incredibly poor skills at being able to organise myself to send the bloody things to the people who wanted them).

I remember playing Dazza's covers band's version of Mamma Mia at college parties I DJ'd at for years.

I remember dawn escapes from moonwashed college halls.

I remember selling a spare Velvet Revolver ticket to Rada.

I remember DISASTERPIECES, and what a drama it was.

I remember meeting certain people in Newcastle and buying Bad Company by Bad Company on vinyl.

I am still an absolute geek, you'll be pleased to know.

I remember when I went to see TD in Paris with my mates, the gig was bang in the middle of the red light district...so anyway, we found a porn DVD on the floor, but the DV turned out to be missing, it was just the case...
story goes, my mates thought it'd be funny to hang onto it, so we took it to the hotel/hostel and on the last day I asked what they'd done with it...
they told me they had put it into one of the pillow cases for a maid to find...funny...
it was a lie!!
I got home and (infront of my girlfriend of the time) I opened my bag and unpack...and there it was in the bottom of my bag!
I had to explain to my girlfriend what happened...plus I had of course smuggled a porn DVD case through customs unknowingly.
Bastards.
