Is anyone else experiencing any problem with the boards? Every so often I'm getting an error screen which mentions an SQL error.

Similarly I've had a few login problems where it appears to refuse me to log in despite having the correct username/password combo entered.

If you are experiencing either of these issues (or something else entirely) please mention it here or email me at darklingsrock@gmail.com

Refreshing does seem to fix it, but it shouldn't be happening and Mr Cappsy my webchap is prepared to kick arse and take names if it keeps happening.

So if anyone spots one, please screencap or just scribble down the error code and email the details to the address above.

This could be down to server overload. Also it could be down to an incorrect config file.

check in your boards config file that you are pointing at "localhost" for the db and not the direct IP (if you are on a linux os). This can sometimes cause a drop in connection like the above.

I would pretend to understand a word of that, but I don't. However I know a man who will ;-)

We're using Servage, who separate web and database servers, so we have to a connect direct addresses. I host another site that used to get similar issues which ended up being down to too many connections, so hopefully they can allow us a bit more usage.

I've sent off a ticket, anyway, hopefully they can get this sorted. In the meantime, if anyone gets any new and interesting errors, post them in here!

Some of you may have noticed a very inelegant period of downtime this morning, but that was just me moving the database. According to Servage, this means we're now on a better database server, so with any luck the errors you've been seeing should now be much less frequent, if not gone altogether.

I've been having a click around and things do seem faster, but post any errors you see here so I know what the situation is.
